Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability) Act as a Subject Matter Expert for cloud end-to-end architecture, including AWS and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management. Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on the Whittle Group application portfolio, as a basis for deploying services to the cloud Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation. Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc. Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners. Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems. Candidate Requirements: Experience supporting services in public cloud environments (AWS [EC2, Lambda], GCP, OpenStack etc.) Experience building and supporting containerized applications on various platforms like GKE, EKS, ECS Proficient with various programming languages such as Java / C# / Node JS / Python / Ruby for building automation or integration with APIs Experience in Failure Testing and Chaos Engineering Expertise with monitoring or log aggregation tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, etc.) Expertise in key SRE Skills (Scalability, Reliability and Observability) Familiarity with large scale migration to Cloud. Excellent communication skills, must be capable of working with cross functional technical and business teams and varying levels of management. Understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum and be able to work in fast-paced environment
