Job Description

We are looking for an android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of android devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be development of native android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be directly working with co-founders and other developers. Being part of a small team, you will have a space and opportunity to tinker into product development, feature development and critical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design and build applications for the android platform (native app)
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, improve code standards to suit product needs to suit quality and scale

Experience requirement

• Minimum 1+ years of experience as android developer
• BE/BTech, ME/MTech or equivalent

Skills

• Proficient with java and android
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Understanding of design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Instruments and Shark, depending on project needs
• Familiarity with Google cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Familiarity with chat app development with multimedia send/receive
• Knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration
