Summary:

Build.com is looking to add a software tester to our already awesome QA team! We want someone who is passionate and eager to take our QA to the next level. So here are the technical aspects of the role...... As a software tester, you will perform methodical and exploratory testing to discover software defects on multiple ecommerce sites, using desktop, tablets and phones. Also testing other special projects related to software development and quality assurance.

Responsibilities: Perform black box, grey box or white box testing.

• Perform testing on desktop, tablets and mobile devices.
• Create test plans and test cases as needed.
• Work closely with development/product teams to understand testing needs.
• Strong commitment to best practices in SQA and software development.
• Assist in investigating test failures, perform root-cause analysis.
• Mentor peers in QA methodologies.

Qualifications: Strong experience in SQA methodologies.

• Solid understanding of continuous integration, SDLC and STLC.
• Passion for quality and out of the box thinking.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Exposure to using web sites on desktop, tablets and phone.

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• 1+ years working on an eCommerce platform.
• 1+ years of experience in software testing.
• Experience coding in a modern programing language such as Java, C#.
• Knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure.
• Ability to write automated tests using Selenium Webdriver and/or Appium.
