IT's vision is to power the digital future of PSEG. We are partners with the business and we are driving business outcomes through innovative use of technology. Our Technology Operations Professional is similar to our Nuclear Operations Professional role except our Technology Operations Professional role is not solely focused on Nuclear's applications and field services support but to all Information Technology systems and applications in various locations in New Jersey and Long Island. This Technology Professional will not require a degreee in Computer Science or STEM field. Thus creating the opportunity to consider candidates with IT experience without a bachelor's degree. These roles are critical as we are insourcing to lead technology solutions and drive business outcomes. This position will lead to other advanced level Information Technology roles such as Associate Business Systems Analyst, Associate Technology Product Consultants through challenging assignments and allowing them to further develop their skills in various areas within Information Technology.

Job Responsibilities

•Responsible for working collaboratively with all stakeholders and serving as a technology leader for the effective use of technologies to maintain world-class operations and delivery of solutions. Develop and deliver technology and information strategy and trends, and best practices/governance •Responsible to keep the environment current and identify continuous improvement areas as well as come up with new initiatives. Identify future technologies and implement new technologies once business approved •Define and build technical and data architectures within PSEG integrated data platform(s). Develop governance that promote data standards. Create and maintain documentation including data dictionaries, source-to-target maps, and database policies and guidelines •Collaborate with the application developers and database administrators to ensure database performance, integrity and security •Provide other contributions as directed by your Technology Group Product Manager and/or Product Owner

Job Specific Qualifications

Required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or without a bachelor's degree, internship to 4 years of related IT experience

Desired
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (STEM discipline preferred). •Experience developing business process flows and soliciting business requirements •Knowledge of testing methodologies and/or project management •Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Management or Customer Relationship Management software •Certifications in technical specialties such as Microsoft, Cisco, etc. •Prior experience supporting a Windows environment •Familiarity with Linux and Windows, and networking concepts such as IP networks •Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls •Experience troubleshooting network communications issues with vendors and carriers
